Fordham International Arbitration Conference
On November 2, 2018 the thirteenth annual Fordham International Arbitration and Mediation Conference was held at Fordham Law School in New York City. We are grateful for the contributions of our panelists, our keynote speaker who made the conference so engaging, and to the editorial board of ARIA for publishing these pieces.
Summary of the Conference
This year’s Fordham International Arbitration and Mediation Conference focused on key issues in international commercial and treaty arbitration in 2018. Our keynote speaker, Hilary Heilbron QC, spoke about the impact of cultural and national differences on norms in international arbitration. In addition, there were five panels that focused on legal practical issues in international arbitration and mediation. One member of each panel wrote up a piece based on the discussion and their previous research. ARIA has worked with these authors on converting the summaries of these panels into articles.
